software-defined radio unmanned mobile ad-hoc network (MANET)

PINELLAS PARK, FL – Domo Tactical Communications (DTC), in Pinellas, Park, Florida, introduces the SOL8SDR2x1W-P software defined radio 2x1W Common for use with unmanned vehicles.

The SOL8SDR2x1W-P enables high-speed, long-range encrypted connections for reliable transfer of video, audio, data and general IP network traffic in a real-time environment in a low size, weight and power (SWaP) package.

The SOL8SDR2x1W-P includes the MeshUltra tactical family mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) mesh waveforms to enable high-bandwidth communication in challenging, dynamic, non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments.

The MeshUltra waveform operates at RF channel frequency bands of 1.25 MHz, 1.5 MHz, 1.75 MHz, 2.5 MHz to 20 MHz. With adaptive modulation to 64QAM, DTC’s MeshUltra supports data rates of up to 87 megabits per second.

The MeshUltra-X waveform is for wireless networks as large as 144 radios operating in narrow 1.25 MHz channels and on a single frequency for large drone swarms and applications where many radios must operate efficiently in limited spectrum.

The SOL8SDR2x1W-P can also work as a MANET IP mesh node for unmanned vehicles and similar applications, P2P COFDM transmitter or P2P receiver to tablet PC. With low power consumption, the SOL8SDR2x1W-P includes its own Ethernet, dual USB, serial and headphone audio interfaces.
