General Dynamics upgrading Navy shipboard radio with long-range HF automatic link establishment (ALE)

SAN DIEGO, May 26, 2016. Military radio experts from General Dynamics Corp. upgrade the US Navy’s AN / USC-61 (C) marine radio system to high frequency (HF) capability, as well as automatic connection establishment (ALE) to improve on-board communications over the horizon.
