DVIDS – News – The Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC) Seeks Resilient Waveforms Information from Industry
SAN DIEGO – March 21, 2022 – The Joint Tactical Network Center (JTNC), on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, seeks information on innovative solutions and alternative approaches from industry to technologies and products for resistance to software-defined radio (SDR) wave a form for identifying candidates for potential acquisition and use by the U.S. military.
JTNC strives to be a center of excellence for collecting, archiving, and sharing next-generation waveform information about DoD’s ongoing efforts with industry. The ultimate goal is to accelerate market research activities for emerging government acquisitions.
“This demand from the industry is important to DOD because it is the next wave of innovation,” said JTNC Director Kurt Reese. “Sustainability and reuse will help the Ministry of Defense and suppliers to pave the way for the future.”
This information request (RFI) focuses on sustainable waveforms and related technologies that are currently being developed or recently completed by the industry for the potential use of DoD. The aim is to provide easy access to information on sustainable waveform, which can be retrieved in a timely manner to assist the Chief Information Officer of the Ministry of Defense, the Office of the Minister of Defense (acquisition and maintenance, research and engineering, costs, evaluation and evaluation of the program), the J6 Joint Staff and all services (program executive offices and program management offices) in planning future network architectures in support of sustainable and interoperable joint communications.
“The industry needs to be submissive so that the Department of Defense can find the next great innovation,” said William, head of the Communications Standards and Technical Analysis Directorate of the Defense Ministry’s Joint Tactical Networks Center (JTNC). Bill Brickner. “This is important for JTNC in shaping the future of the evolution of non-patent / proprietary strategic and tactical waveforms.”
This RFI is a classified effort and will be advertised to potential technology and product providers through the Rewards Management System (SAM.gov). Providers will have time to respond by June 29, 2022. Those interested in responding to RFI should immediately: https://sam.gov/opp/cb4a402d229e4258890e9a9ed8506031/view
