Yellen Urged by Republicans to Block Taliban From IMF Reserves

The group of 18 lawmakers, including the French hill in Arkansas, wrote to Yellen on Tuesday in a letter received by Bloomberg News, asking Yellen to take action in the fund and respond to their request by Thursday afternoon. They also called on Yellen to provide more detailed information on the measures taken by the IMF to ensure that assets known as special drawing rights are not used in a way that is contrary to the US national interest.
