GA-ASI and L3 Technologies develop and manage intelligent fullband signal solution for MQ-9

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and L3 Technologies today announced the development and successful flight test of the Full Range Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) ISR signal using the Predator B remote control flight system (RPAS). The L3 SIGINT solutions were integrated into a wing-mounted GA-ASI pod and tested in flight by a GA-ASI Long-Endurance (MALE) MQ-9 Predator B RPAS. This game-modifying capability provides a significant expansion of the MQ-9’s mission for operations against modern threats in new operating domains.

Co-funded by GA-ASI and L3, this new padded solution was developed over eight months and successfully flight-tested in May 2019 on the GA-ASI MQ-9, operating from GA’s test facilities in Yuma, Arizona.
