BMW has make a U-turn of a controversial subscription service where drivers pay a fee to activate the heated seats already installed in their car. From a report: First announced in 2020, the subscription was intended to be one of many ways to offer flexibility to customers who could choose to pay for vehicle features at their convenience, then stop paying. when they are no longer wanted. But instead of options like increased electric car performance – as Mercedes later proposed – or other tech features like autonomous parking or 5G data connectivity, BMW drew criticism for charging a subscription for heated seats already installed at the factory . However, now BMW will no longer offer such a service.
