Ultralife receives U.S. Army contract | Business

NEWARK – Ultralife Corp. (NASDAQ: ULBI) received a purchase order worth approximately $ 4.2 million to supply its vehicle adapter amplifiers to Thales Defense & Security Inc., a company involved in the development, production and maintenance of combat-proven, software-defined radio equipment for the U.S. Army Leader Radio program.

Deliveries are expected to begin in 2022.

The army’s decision to begin full production of Leader Radio after operational tests and evaluations provides soldiers with radio networking opportunities for better situational awareness. Dual-channel, software-defined radio provides both data and voice communications through multiple waveforms, allowing the soldier to use one radio instead of the two currently needed for voice and data. Ultralife’s VAA platform provides the soldier with an enhanced range of digital voice and information communications and operational flexibility.

Ultralife Corporation serves its markets with products and services ranging from energy solutions to communications and electronic systems. Through its engineering and collaborative approach to problem solving, Ultralife serves government, defense and commercial clients around the world.
