TrellisWare’s TSM waveform will provide the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) with an advanced integrated tactical network.
SAN DIEGO- (BUSINESS WIRE) -TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. will provide advanced network waveform capabilities for the CAF Integrated Soldier System (ISS-S; formerly known as the ISSP Integrated Soldier System Project) in support of the downed soldier’s mission by providing voice, data, and situation information for better command execution.
The Canadian Armed Forces has selected the L3Harris ™ RF-9820S, powered by TSM ™ TrellisWare waveform under an Integrated Soldier Radio (ISS-A) license. This program serves to upgrade the existing ISS-S radio station to provide both voice and data communication between soldiers, while automatically generating personal location information (PLI).
The TrellisWare TSM waveform provides a highly scalable flat voice and data network that can be adapted to an entire Army Task Force with 800+ nodes in a single RF channel and maintains the CAF ground command and control network (C2) with continuous work communications in a dynamic environment.
The TSM waveform is ideal for a variety of missions, as the waveform can be scaled from narrow 1.2 MHz channels for voice and position reading, to 4, 10, 20 and 40 MHz channels supporting multi-video sharing. and other data.
Equipped with TSM waveforms, ISS-A radios will be more suitable for contested and congested environments, among other current and emerging communication challenges facing CAF. Because TSM is a true form of software-defined radio (SDR), TrellisWare continues to develop capabilities with improved features and resilience while protecting Canadian investment in existing radio platforms.
TrellisWare continues to maintain tactical command, control and communication with the development of network needs and threats around the world. In partnership with Inter-Op Canada, our TSM experts in the country, TrellisWare remains committed to supporting the additional and future needs of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of Homeland Security.
Building on TrellisWare’s innovative Barrage Relay technology, TSM’s waveform is radically changing the way tactical networks can be deployed for Canadian, US and coalition forces, further enabling US, British, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand forces. Army (ABCANZ) interoperability.
