BLOOMINGDALE, Illinois- (BUSINESS WIRE) -PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCTI), the world’s leading provider of wireless technology, announced the launch of a new generation solution for testing 5G network, Gbending™ Scan receiver.
5G networks are evolving to support a growing user base, including critical uses such as critical infrastructure and industrial IoT. In order to ensure coverage and quality of service in public and private 5G networks, on-site testing is essential. Scanning receivers play a key role in network testing systems by providing engineers with the accurate and detailed data needed to effectively plan, deploy, optimize, and compare 2G-5G networks. As mobile networks become more complex, engineers need a scanning receiver that can adapt to more demanding testing requirements.
The Gbending scanning receiver is more powerful, more portable and more flexible than the 5G and mmWave scanners currently on the market. So far, testing 2G-5G networks on a single operator may require the use of multiple devices. Žbending drives testing and walking are more efficient, which allows testing networks of multiple operators with one compact device.
Žbending is the first specially designed walking and driving test scanner to support each 5G band, as currently defined in the 3GPP version 17 specification, and the first to measure the full 100 MHz 5G band. The software-defined radio platform and extended frequency range make Gbending sustainable for the future for 5G and beyond.
With its unique set of features, Gbending The scanner is designed to support a wide range of government applications such as signal intelligence, coverage mapping and interference detection.
“Mr.bending is a real game changer for PCTEL and our customers. It is a next-generation platform with advanced capabilities to support the complex requirements of 5G testing and legacy technology in a single scan receiver. Žbending is also a future solution that will play a key role in the success of the next phase of 5G, including implementation in buildings, Open RAN architectures and IoT applications, ”said David Neumann, CEO of PCTEL. “Besides, Mr.bending the platform will allow PCTEL to serve a wider segment of the government market with our testing and measurement solutions, ”added Neumann.
Key features include:
-
Measures up to 120 5G channels simultaneously
-
Extended frequency range (10 MHz-8 GHz, 24-48 GHz)
-
The 20/100 MHz wide step IF filter measures the full 5G bandwidth
-
Tests 5G and 4G simultaneously with zero performance degradation
-
Easy, automatic channel detection on the go with mobile blind scan
Customers can contact PCTEL now to place an order for Gflex scanning receivers, which are expected to be delivered by the end of 2021.
PCTEL will demonstrate Gbending receiver for scanning October 26-28 at MWC Los Angeles, booth 2317.
