MIPI RFFE (RF Front-End Control Interface) v3.0 Master and Slave Controller IP Cores for ultimate control of your RF Front-end Cellular or Base station SoC’s with Low Power Consumption and Reduced Latencies

19th October 2021 – T2MIP,, global independent provider of semiconductor IP cores and technology experts is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its partners MIPI RFFE v3.0 Master and IP slave controller Cores that are mature, proven in production chips with support for high performance and low power consumption.

MIPI RFFE v3.0 IP controller Core, is the standard interface for controlling radio frequency (RF) front (FE) subsystems. It provides fast, agile, self-regulating and complete control over the complex environment of the RF subsystem. The MIPI RFFE master / slave IP controller Core is a full-featured, easy-to-use, synthesized design that easily integrates into any SoC or FPGA development. It can also support various host bus interfaces for easy implementation in any design architecture – AXI, AHB, APB, OCP, VCI, Avalon, PLB, Wishbone or custom buses. MIPI RFFE v3.0 is also compatible with all previous generations

RFFE is a two-wire interface that uses continuous, single CMOS inputs / outputs for lower power. Can be used with a wide range of bus operating frequencies and supports command frame, data / address frame, no response frame, bus ownership transfer, poll interrupt, main write and read, multi-master configuration, support for operator aggregation and use of multiple transceivers, dual SIM design and stored registers that improve the efficiency of hardware and software development.

MIPI RFFE v3.0 IP core, is designed to provide more accurate synchronization and reduced latencies needed for the technical advancement of 5G. The IP core of MIPI RFFE provides simplified, faster and more comprehensive control over RFFE subsystems and provides the specific capabilities needed for traditional cellular bands below 6 GHz. MIPI RFFE v3.0 IP core provides enhanced triggering features and functionality for synchronizing and scheduling changes to registry settings across multiple devices, allowing for a better ecosystem along with 5G, LTE, GNSS, Nb-IoT, SDR, or other RF components.

MIPI RFFE master / slave IP controller The cores, along with RF Front-End IP, have been used in the semiconductor industry in cellular electronics, IoT, the automotive industry, broadcasting, and more.

In addition to MIPI RFFE IP cores, T2M’s broad silicone IP interface portfolio includes USB,, HDMI,, Display port, MIPI (CSI,, DSI,, UniPro,, UFS,, Soundwire,, I3C), PCIe,, DDR,, 10/100/1000 Ethernet,, V by One,, ATA series,, programmable SerDes, and many others available in major fabs in process geometry up to 7 nm. They can also be transferred to other foundry and modern process units on request.
