Metanoia and NXP announce integrated 5G NR Sub-6GHz platform
Metanoia and NXP Semiconductors have signed a new pact to develop a fully functional one 5G Reference platform NR Sub-6GHz.
The platform will enable customers to build a 5G Sub-6GHz solution spanning all 5G markets, including standalone fixed wireless access (FWA) applications, 5G low-density remote radios (RRUs) and integrated 5G cells.
Metanoia’s MT3812 RFIC transceiver will be included in the reference platform, along with the NXP Layerscape family of high-performance multi-core processors. The joint solution will also include NXP’s 5G NR programmable base frequency processors.
“The collaboration between NXP and Metanoia demonstrates the enhanced capabilities of the Layerscape Access programmable solutions platform and underscores our commitment to improving our ecosystem-based strategy to accelerate the supply of solutions to the market,” said Tarek Bustami, senior vice president and CEO. network Overview of edges in NXP Semiconductors.
“NXP offers a complete portfolio of 5G NR solutions that, with the help of our partners, accelerate the development and implementation of 5G infrastructure networks around the world. “
In addition, the Metanoia-NXP 5G NR Sub-6GHz reference platform facilitates the creation of software-defined radio (SDR) solutions with support for physical connection layer, digital pre-distortion (DPD) and peak factor reduction (CFR), network unloading and etc. .
Cost-effective and programmable, the MT3812 supports maximum bandwidth from 200MHz in transmission and reception mode and 400MHz in digital distortion mode (DPD).
A more accurate assessment of the low and high frequency bands supported by the Metanoia MT3812 can also be achieved by bypassing the appropriate RF front components of the reference system.
“Partnering with NXP to provide our customers with a highly optimized development platform that includes our MT3812 RF IC and demonstrating that our chips together can meet the performance requirements of 3GPP and ORAN is crucial for our customers.” said Didier Boyvin, executive vice president of Metanoia.
“The desire to create a high level of trust in our technologies is what made NXP and Metanoia work together on this combined reference platform.
