IAS officers’ body expresses gratitude to PM for recognising Mohapatra’s contribution

New Delhi, June 27 (IANS) The IAS Central Association on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognizing the contribution of Guru Prasad Mohapatra, a secretary in his government who recently died because of Kovid.

During his monthly radio broadcast Manki Baat, Modi said: “Guruprasad has been diagnosed with Kovid, he has been admitted to hospital and at the same time he is performing his official duty.

He worked day and night to increase the country’s oxygen production capacity and ensure that oxygen reached remote areas. It is sad for all of us that the country has lost its Karma Yogi. “

The Prime Minister’s bow to Mohapatra instilled a sense of motivation and increased commitment among all civil servants dedicated to the cause of public service and nation-building throughout the country, the association said in a statement.
