NEW DELHI: Cumulative revenues from the Global Radio Access Network (RAN) are expected to reach a quarter of a trillion dollars, or about $ 250 billion between 2020-25, driven by 5G New Radio (NR), according to a recently published forecast report by the Dell’Oro Group.

“The global upswing that began in the second half of 2018 has become deeper and stronger, driving the RAN’s overall market to continue to surprise upwards,” said Stefan Pongratz, vice president and analyst at Dell’Oro Group.

While revenues from 5G NR accelerated, Long-term evolution (LTE) revenue is targeted, the market analysis company said.

In a separate report, he says private 5G new radio (NR) revenue will exceed $ 1 billion by 2025, although Long-term evolution (LTE), currently dominant in the private wireless market.

“Although the market is surprisingly upward, we believe there is room for expansion in the near future as early consumers continue to launch 5G at an exceptional pace, leading to a more optimistic 5-year outlook than our latest forecast,” Pongratz added. .

Dell’Oro stressed that cumulative base station deliveries 2020-2025 continue to exceed 30 million, while global deliveries of macro and small cellular transceivers will reach 0.8 billion over the forecast period.
