CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced today that it has completed the Critical Design Review (CDR) for the launch of its small demonstration satellite program (DemoSat) scheduled for early 2023, which is due to provide two mission payload into low earth orbit. CACI and its partner, York Space Systems – a specialist manufacturer of spacecraft and spacecraft solutions – will demonstrate positioning, navigation and alternative timing (APNT) and tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (TacISR) payloads aboard the DemoSat.

“We are delighted that CACI is launching a DemoSat payload on orbit – differentiating our mission technology and transformational solutions for customer success.”

“CACI’s expertise, systems and technology help our customers maintain dominance in the increasingly contested space environment,” said Mike Hale, Executive Vice President of CACI Advanced Solutions Group. “We are delighted that CACI is launching a DemoSat payload on orbit – differentiating our mission technology and transformational solutions for customer success.”

Both payloads are built on flexible, software-defined, radio-upgradable (SDR) radio hardware. APNT payload demonstrates advanced two-way time transfer (TWTT) technology and CACI clock modeling, demonstrating space-based PNT low size, weight and power (SWaP) for synchronization and timing that improves multi-sensing remotely platform significantly. The TacISR payload identifies and captures key interest (SOI) signals and operates with a CACI Beast ground receiver to demonstrate real-time radio-frequency (RF) geolocation for U.S. forces deployed.

CACI is an industry pioneer in the design and manufacture of rugged intelligence intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber technologies. Its DemoSat program builds on more than two decades of experience in the integration and implementation of end-to-end space zone collection, processing, and awareness systems for the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, and U.S. Government agencies UD.
