Bharat Electronics achieves record turnover of Rs 13,500 cr during 2020-21

Electronics Limited achieved a record turnover of around 13,500 kroner (Temporary and unaudited) in the period 2020-21, compared to the figure of 12,608 kroner for the previous financial year, despite the challenges posed by the COVID19 pandemic and intense business competition.

BEL’s order book as of April 1st this year is about 53,000 rupees, according to a statement from the Bengaluru-based company.

In 2020-21, BEL stated that it provided orders worth 15,000 kroner.

Some of the main orders acquired during the year are: ICU fans, software radios and communication equipment, various types of radar, sonar, torpedo lures, e-war systems, network and encryption products and smart city projects.

BEL achieved export sales of about $ 50 million in 2020-21.

The main products that are exported include shore monitoring system, transceiver modules (TR), “Bharati Radio”, “Friend or Adversary Identification” (IFFI), Electro-Optical System, Compact Multi-Purpose Advanced Stabilization System (EOS) CoMPASS), electro-mechanical parts, Radar Fingerprint System (RFPS) and Low Tape Receivers (LBREC).

BEL Chairman and Managing Director MV Gowtama said, “BEL will continue its efforts to become self-sufficient through a stronger focus on indigenization, outsourcing local industry with a greater focus on SME and GeM supplies and thus minimizing of import dependence. “



The company said it is ready to explore and exploit new areas of growth and new business pathways through continuous diversification, capacity and competitiveness improvement and modernization, among others.

BEL has invaded new potential business segments – healthcare solutions, network and cybersecurity, space electronics, energy storage systems and software and is confident it will make significant progress in these areas in the coming years, the statement added.
