Airbus goes further than before in arming C295
Airbus sparked a stir last week at the SOFINS exhibition in Bordeaux, announcing that it had conducted flight tests of an armed version of the C295.
Miguel Candeal Morales, head of air marketing at ISR at the Spanish-based manufacturer, told Shephard: “The tests were conducted in flight and on the ground more than two months earlier this year in Seville.”
Airbus has unveiled plans for an armed C295 at previous security exhibitions, but the latest development is a new step.
