ADI and Keysight hook up on O-RAN
NAME and Keysight Technology should acceleration network interoperability and compliance testing for Open up RAN radio units (O-RUs).
The companies are working together to create a robust test bench to test the interoperability of a new O-RU that includes the basic ADI range of low PHY, software-defined transceiver, power and clock integrated with Intel.©FPGA. Application On Keysight OhRAN emulation, signal generation, and signal analysis capabilities for a wide range of applications improve the testing process, reducing testing complexity and time.
Open up RAN technology is expected to represent more than 10 percent of the whole radio access network market by 2025, according to Dell-Oro Group. The NAME and Keysight cooperation addresses commercialopportunities in this industry It is transition to open, disaggregated and virtualized RAN (vRAN)architecture.
Open RAN infrastructure based on O-RAN ALLIANCE open interfaces,, enables mobile operators to create a stable, multi-provider networked environment designed to streamline the provision of advanced 5G services to businesses in manufacturing, finance, transportation, logistics and healthcare.
Validating O-RU performance and testing interoperability between network elements from the edge of the RAN to the 5G core (5GC) allows mobile operators to effectively deploy O-RAN in 5G networks with different providers.
